what hockey game should i get tix for?

so for valentine’s day, i want to get my boyfriend some tickets to a hockey game (we live in l.a., so either the kings, or the ducks). my boyfriend is from detroit, so he’s a HUGE red wings fan. however, we missed the last two times that they were in southern california…

so i want to get the next best thing for him. i was thinking of getting tickets to a ducks game (because honestly, i may not know a lot about hockey, but even i know that the kings suck). my question is, what would be another really good team for me to get tickets for?

the ducks are playing in anaheim against these teams:

–thrashers
–stars
–wild
–canucks
–sharks
–predators
–coyotes
–avalanche
also, the wild are playing the ducks on his birthday (march 8th)… would that be better? i honestly don’t know what teams are good, and which ones are just ok.

hockey question?

im not a huge hockey fan but i watch it from time to time. heres my question. say its i dont know wings vs flames. iginla recieved a 2min penalty and 30 seconds into the penalty chelios gets one for the wings. so its one man in the box for each team. well after iginlas penalty expires the flames would have a 30 second powerplay. say the red wings kill off the powerplay and its back to 5on5 does that count as a penalty kill cuz it was a 30second powerplay for the flames or does a penalty have to be a clear cut 2minutes for it to count? thx

I bought my boyfriend and I tickets to the January 2nd Detroit Red Wings/ Anaheim Ducks game. This is the game with the retirement ceremony for Steve Yzerman’s Jersey…Would YOU be happy if you received this as a christmas gift? (He’s a huge hockey/ red wings/ yzerman fan!…its a surprise!)
